Safety centre
Safety and trust
No platform can make meeting a stranger safe, and one that says it can is selling you something. This is what Just One A Day actually does, what it will not claim to do, and how to get help.
Signup is not open yet, so the routes below describe what will exist when it is. Each page also says what you can do today.
01
Staying safe
What to do before, during and after meeting somebody — and the five things worth remembering whatever platform you are on.
02
Money and scams
Nobody you meet here should ever ask you for money. What that looks like, and who to tell.
03
Somebody on Just One A Day
Reporting somebody, and the two ways to stop seeing them.
04
Something illegal
Content that breaks the law, somebody using your identity, or a child at risk.
05
Somebody being dishonest
Saying somebody lied about their relationship situation — and what will and will not happen next.
The rules and the policies behind all of this
- Every rule that limits you — what limits a member, before anybody joins
- Policy centre — the community rules, how reports are handled, how moderation works, and how to complain, each published in full
- What we value — why the rules are what they are
What we will not tell you
We will not tell you that anybody here has been vetted as safe. Everybody proves who they are, which is not the same thing, and we say so on every page that touches it. Nor will we tell you how quickly a report is answered — we have not done the work that would let us say it honestly, and a number we could not keep would be worse than no number.
