Choosing an app
What a paid dating app subscription buys
Just One A Day is not open yet. Where this page describes it, it describes how it will work when it opens.
Most dating apps are free to join and sell you more once you are in. What they sell falls into four kinds: more likes, seeing who liked you, being shown to more people, and being seen first. This page says what each app’s paid tiers buy. It does not print their prices, which change often; each app shows its own in the app.
Tinder
Subscriptions include Tinder Plus, Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum. Plus lets you send unlimited likes, and the higher tiers let you see who likes you. Boosts can be bought at any time.

Bumble
Subscriptions include Bumble Boost, Bumble Premium and Bumble Premium+. Boost gives unlimited likes, and Premium adds seeing who already liked you. SuperSwipes and Spotlights can also be bought on their own.

Hinge
Subscriptions include Hinge+ and HingeX. Both give unlimited likes and show you every like you have received at once; free members see one at a time. Roses can be bought in batches.

What Just One A Day sells
One thing: £10 a month per person, month to month. The first month is free once your profile is complete. A couple pays twice that, because that is two people. There is nothing else to buy: no boosts, no super-likes, no way to be shown to more people or seen first, no annual plan and no discount.
Paying the same means being treated the same. Nobody can buy their way to the front.
Where it comes out worse, said plainly:
- There is no free version. Once the free period ends, you pay or you stop using it.
- There is nothing to buy if you want more. One person a day is all anybody gets.
How these claims stay true. A program reads every source on this page each day. If one stops saying what we say here, this page comes down until it has been checked again.
