For non-monogamous daters and couples

Just One A Day is not open yet. Where this page describes it, it describes how it will work when it opens.

If you are non-monogamous, single or partnered, this page is for you. It says how Just One A Day works for you and your partners, and what it will not do.

There is no couple’s account. Each person signs up on their own, proves who they are on their own and sets their own preferences.

Once you have both signed up, you can link your two accounts. One of you asks from their settings and the other accepts. Nobody has to link.

Linking changes nothing about what either of you asked for. You each keep your own preferences, and each of you is shown your own one person a day.

Once you are linked, each of you appears on the other’s profile as their partner, so anybody you are shown to knows before they write.

Either of you can unlink, alone, at any time. The other does not have to agree. Both profiles are then hidden until each of you has updated your details, and you are both told.

You are only shown people who want what you want

When you join, you say what you are looking for, including whether you want somebody non-monogamous. Choose only non-monogamous and nobody else is ever shown to you.

It works both ways. You are only shown somebody if they fit what you asked for and you fit what they asked for.

We never widen what you asked for. If nobody matches, the app says so, and the number it shows you is zero.

One person a day

You are shown one person a day. There is no list, no grid and no second page. You can write to them, ignore them or dismiss them. There is no like button.

Nobody is shown to more than 5 people a night, so a few people do not take up everybody’s day.

Why you are here is nobody’s business

When you join you also say whether you are serious about meeting up or just looking. Nobody else ever sees it, nobody can filter on it, and you can change it whenever you like without anybody being told.

Everybody proves who they are

Every member does an identity document check and a face check, and confirms a mobile number, before anybody is shown their profile. There is no way round it.

Your document is destroyed within 24 hours of the check.

What it costs

£10 per person per month, month to month. A linked couple pays twice that, because that is two people. No annual plan, no discounts, and nothing else to buy. Nobody can pay to be seen first.

What you will not like

  • On the first day there may be nobody for you. Just One A Day is new, and it only shows you people who match exactly what you asked for. If that is nobody, it says so.
  • There is nothing to browse. If you enjoy scrolling through people, you will not like it.
  • A couple cannot be shown as one. Each of you is shown, and is shown to, people one at a time, on your own preferences.
