Just One A Day Guided Tour — Terms of Use
Version terms-0.3
1. Who we are
The Just One A Day guided tour is operated by Pinekor Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, no. 17389269, whose registered office is 17 Partridge Close, Northampton, NN2 8BL. Just One A Day is a trading name of that company. You can contact us at hello@justoneaday.app. We are the data controller for information collected through this tour, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under ZC233346.
2. What this is, and what it is not
The Just One A Day guided tour is a preview of a product that does not exist yet. It is a demonstration built to show how the product would work, and to find out whether people want it.
- Every profile you see is fictional sample content created by us. No real person is represented.
- No message you send reaches anyone. No meeting you arrange is real.
- Nothing you enter during the tour is kept as a profile, and no account is created for you.
- Every number shown in the tour is invented, including all of the statistics.
- Prices shown are indicative and may change before anything launches.
- We do not promise that the product will ever be built or released.
- The link we email you lets whoever holds it into the tour. If you forward that email, the person you send it to can walk the tour as you. There is nothing personal of yours inside it for them to find.
3. Who may use the tour
You may use the tour if you are 18 or over, and over the age of majority where you live.
4. What we collect
To take the tour we collect your email address and verify it. That is the only personal detail we require. If you answer the optional question at the end, we store your answer.
Our Privacy Notice explains what we do with this, how long we keep it, and your rights over it. Agreeing to these terms is not the same as consenting to that processing — we ask for that separately.
5. Your email address, and getting rid of it
At the end of the tour we ask whether you want to hear from us when Just One A Day launches.
- If you say yes, we keep your address for that single purpose and email you once, when there is something to open. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes it.
- If you say no, we delete your address within 7 days. We send one final message confirming your request straight away. The short delay is deliberate: it is what stops the same address being used to sign up and delete repeatedly. We keep no copy, and no disguised copy either — no hash, no derived identifier, nothing we could reverse.
If you answer the optional question, your answer is kept against a random reference number, not against your address. So the answer survives the deletion and the link to you does not.
You can change your mind at any time by emailing hello@justoneaday.app. You need not give a reason.
6. Donations
You may choose to contribute towards development costs. If you do:
- The contribution is a voluntary donation. You receive no goods, no service and no product in return, now or later.
- It does not buy a place on the waitlist, priority, or any advantage. The waitlist is free and does not depend on it.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or hold your card details.
- Donations are not refundable. Because a donation buys nothing, the cancellation rights that apply to a purchase do not apply here.
- If you donate and later ask us to delete your data, we must keep the transaction record for six years because tax law requires it. That record references your reference number and the Stripe payment, not your email address, which still goes.
7. Acceptable use
Please don't attempt to break, probe or overload the tour; submit anyone else's personal information; submit unlawful, abusive or threatening content in the free-text field; or use automated tools to create sign-ups.
We may withdraw access if you do. Since the tour holds nothing but an email address, in practice that means we delete it.
8. Availability
The tour is a temporary research exercise provided as is. We may change, suspend or withdraw it at any time without notice, and we don't guarantee it will be available or error-free.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
Beyond that — because the tour is a free preview that supplies nothing to you — we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will publish a new version with a new version number. Changes apply from publication and do not alter what you agreed to when you signed up.
11. Complaints, and the law that applies
If something goes wrong, email hello@justoneaday.app first — we would rather fix it.
If your complaint is about how we have handled your personal data and you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
